Concerto Competition

Auditions for the 2012 Concerto Competition will be held:
January 22, 2012, 1:45-3:45 p.m.
Margaret Morrison Room 119, CMU.

Who is eligible?
Any member of YPO may audition, however preference will be given to juniors and seniors.

What should I prepare?
One movement from a concerto you would like to perform.

When will I perform with the orchestra if I win?
The winning soloist will perform at the Spring Concert on May 13, 2012 at the Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland.

How do I sign up?
Download the form below and turn it into TRYPO by Monday January 9, 2012. Form may be handed in at rehearsal, mailed, e-mailed (scan with signatures) or faxed.
Audition Form

Do I need to have a pianist?
You will need to perform with accompaniment at your audition. TRYPO does not provide a pianist.

Please note: TRYPO reserves the right to decline to select a winner. TRYPO reserves the right to make the final decision about piece to be performed.
