New Member Audition Process
Please note that the audition requirements listed at the bottom of this page are the minimum required for entrance; being able to meet these requirements will not guarantee acceptance into either orchestra. Out of the many students capable of meeting these requirements each year, our coaches choose the students who can play at the level of students currently in each orchestra. We believe that the audition process is a good educational opportunity whether or not the student is accepted, and we strongly encourage all students in their musical pursuits.
All auditions will take place at the Mary Pappert School of Music at Duquesne University. Audition dates for entrance into the 2012-2013 season:SYMPHONETTESaturday, May 19, 2012 starting at 1:30 p.m.: Violin, Viola, Cello, BassSunday, May 20, 2012, starting at 1:00 p.m.: Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass

Fill out the online application form (link below) and mail an audition fee of $25.00 (please include student's or students' name or names in the memo field). When your audition form and audition fee have been received, you will receive an audition time slot.
