BARBARA S. THOMPSON,
Executive
Director,
is
a graduate of Northwestern University where she majored in piano
and music education. As a music educator, she has taught in Texas
and Illinois. Moving to Pittsburgh in 1966, she continued to
teach in Pittsburgh Public Schools and began to give private
piano instruction. In 1979, she joined the staff of Gateway to
Music Inc., affiliated nationally with Young Audiences. Ms. Thompson
assumed her position with TRYPO in January 1989.
MOLLIE BANDY, Executive Assistant,
is a graduate of Marshall University
where she earned a degree in sociology. After graduation, she spent two years as
a human resource manager for a regional department store. Mrs. Bandy then moved to Pittsburgh,
where she served as a recruiter for a financial services company before joining TRYPO’s staff
in November 2005.
SILVIA GAMES, Young Peoples Orchestra Manager/Librarian,
Born in Córdoba, Argentina, where she began her musical studies at age of 6 years old at the "Singer Children of Córdoba Music School", where she graduated with a degree in Music Education and Choral Conductor.
She studied composition at the National University of Córdoba and she is a graduated of the Lanus National University in Buenos Aires where she did a postgraduate degree in Orchestra and Chamber Music. At the same time she mix all these activities with teaching both in musicianship and a cello teacher.
Currently she is a Duquesne University Artist Diploma Graduate Student in cello performance.
KATELYN PANZA, Symphonette Manager and Coach,
a North Hills High School graduate, was a member of TRYPO for four years. Katelyn began her musical studies on piano at age six and started viola lessons in fourth grade. Currently she is a sophomore at Duquesne University majoring in music education.
